Hello! My name is Sara. I am a painter/photographer at heart, but have prioritized raising my son for the past 8 years. While I still center a lot of my energy on his needs, I have also been taking a drawing class, exercising regularly again, and taking time for myself. It has been interesting to find that the person I was before becoming a mom is vastly different from the person I am now. Hooray for life experiences!
The elephant in the room is my battle with colon cancer. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2017. Since then, I have undergone numerous chemotherapy treatments as well as major abdominal surgeries. After 6 1/2 years of active treatment I have been on a chemotherapy holiday for the past year. While the future is still unknown, I am hoping this podcast and blog will provide me with a creative outlet in addition to spreading colon cancer awareness. Here’s to living the most fulfilled life possible!
