And So It Begins

Welcome! Thank you for joining me. On Christmas Day my brother suggested that I write a book. I laughed and asked him what he thought the book should be about. Naturally he thought it should be about him. While I would love to write a book about my brother and the obstacles he has overcome it seems a bit ambitious. However, setting up an art and lifestyle blog is right up my alley.

I have a degree in Fine Art from San Francisco State University. After studying art formally I satisfied my need to create through painting, photography, web design, and home improvement (much to my husband’s dismay). Two years ago my husband and I welcomed a little one into the world. We decided that the best thing for our family was for me to stay home the first year. Unfortunately during that year I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.

Cancer really is not fun to talk about and most people avoid discussing it. Sadly, for me it is a way of life. It is something that walks with me everyday so I tend to be fairly open about it. Do not be surprised if the topic makes regular appearances in my blog posts.

With that in mind, I hope you will follow me as I navigate the many opportunities and challenges that life presents. I am a seeker of knowledge, beauty, and light. Cheers!
